Addison Kirk: Day 3: This project is growing!

I have written many songs (amature) that are based on talks by President Hinckley. Can you look at them and see if any inspire you. The last I wrote, I got a thank you from his secretary the day after he died. I am grateful that he read it.
We believe that our Heavenly Father is near.
He has sent us here, with fam'lies so dear.

Let earth and hell combine against us.
We know where to trust, For His laws are just.

We'll not fear, but believe that we are His flock.
Though with death we'll walk, The Lord's our sure rock.

Power comes, there is majesty in each prayer.
God is ever there, We are in His care.

We each have the capacity to do good.
Stand bright as we should, Full of brotherhood.

We believe in goodness and seek out learning.
Study and faith brings, More than mere earnings.

I started writing poetry and songs when my son left on his mission. I just woke up one morning a few days after he left and started writing. A mission is a blessing that is very far reaching. Musical people are very busy. Good luck to you
